Care/Challenge/Share: bringing sustainable thinking into everyday practice at SCFT
We are proud of the difference we have made through our Care Without Carbon programme at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust, not only within our Trust but by working with others too. Over the last year you will have seen Together to Zero, the regional campaign we led on, to get us all thinking more about what sustainable healthcare really means.
Now, we are launching our own engagement programme, Care/Challenge/Share which will support staff at SCFT in building on the awareness from Together to Zero and translating that into action.
How does it work?
Care/Challenge/Share is a positive loop and you can revisit it as many times as you like at whatever point best fits what you want to do.
Care: this means care for people and for our planet. We show we care by learning more about what this involves, educating ourselves, being curious and building understanding. It could be as simple as checking out our Green Plan or watching our short animation, to attending a conference or webinar or taking our e-learning package.
Challenge: this is about challenging the norm and taking action to do things differently. We have a whole Ideas Hub to inspire you, or you may have you own thoughts on what to do already and we welcome you to tell us about it. Projects could be small, like swapping a supplier, to large, such as implementing a digital care pathway. They all help us work towards lower carbon care.
Share: is all about shouting about the good stuff. Inspire colleagues, share best practice, explore ideas and celebrate the change-makers. We'll feature case studies and showcase those delivering change with our Zero Heroes gallery. You just need to tell us what's happening and we'll do the rest.
