Every year in June the fabulous folk at Love to Ride run Bike Month, a celebration of cycling to get us all going on two wheels.
What is Bike Month?
Bike Month, run every June, is a national event organised by the cycling charity Love to Ride. They have a brilliant website with all the info, tips and inspirations to get you cycling more.
The annual celebration of cycling aims to get current cyclists cycling more and encouraging others to join them. New cyclists are warmly welcomed into an online cycling community.
You can also register where you work and see an organisation/company based league table for your area to get the competitive feelings flowing!
Why get involved?
Well, it’s fun!
And when you register with Love to Ride (totally free!) you then become eligible for prize draws if you log your rides throughout June. The website keeps a handy tally of how far you have travelled so you can feel good about the distance travelled overall.
Prizes are varied and everyone who registers and logs rides is in with a chance.
Also we can’t forget how brilliant cycling is for the environment, with no emissions for your journey and some great endorphin boosting exercise into the bargain.
How do I sign up?
You can sign up in these easy steps…
- Register on the Love to Ride website – click here to go direct to the registration page
- Then simply hop on your bike for a ride of at least 10 minutes during Bike Month (June 1-30). The more rides the better!
- Record your rides on the Love to Ride site and tell your friends and family about Bike Month to encourage them to sign up too.
You’ll automatically get entered into the prize draws when you log your rides. Don’t forget to check the permissions box for emails so you can be notified if you win a prize!
