Greener AHPs week
NHS England celebrates Greener Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) week, 22nd to 26th April.
As the third largest clinical workforce in the NHS, AHPs play an important role in delivering a Net Zero Carbon NHS.
We’re asking AHP teams across the Trust to get involved with Greener AHP week in any way they would like. Visit the Greener Allied Health Professional hub for inspiration, but other ideas could include:
- Having a meat free Monday lunch as a team.
- Discussing a green objective to build into PDR’s across the team.
- Signing up to a Centre for Sustainable Healthcare network to meet like-minded colleagues: https://networks.sustainablehealthcare.org.uk/networks
- Arranging a team walk or cycle to work day in the week.
- Adding an agenda item your team meeting to discuss ways you could make care less carbon intensive/reduce waste.
- Take the 30 minute e-learning for health session on sustainable healthcare: https://www.e-lfh.org.uk/new-environmental-sustainability-elearning-session-available/ and have a quiz on it.
